Transport and Communications Workers in Turkmenistan Awarded State Honors for Independence Day
Ahead of Turkmenistan’s 34th Independence Day, the Ministry of Railway Transport hosted a ceremonial event honoring workers in the transport and communications sectors with state awards and honorary titles.
As part of a long-standing tradition, outstanding professionals across various industries receive high national honors in recognition of their contributions. This year, a large group of employees from the transport and communications complex was acknowledged for their achievements and service.
Speakers from the communications sector highlighted that, over the years of independence, Turkmenistan has evolved into a hub of digital development and international cooperation.

On the workday preceding a public holiday, working hours are reduced by one hour. The same applies to night shifts, and in continuous production, the schedule is equivalent to a normal day. The average monthly working time is 166.9 hours for a 40-hour workweek and 150.5 hours for a 36-hour workweek. This ensures a balanced labor schedule throughout Turkmenistan in 2026.
