The global precious metals market is witnessing a historic upswing, with silver surpassing 75 dollars per ounce for the first time ever. This rally is driven by expectations of further interest rate cuts in the United States and rising geopolitical tensions, factors that are reshaping investor behavior worldwide, including in economies such as Turkmenistan.

Gold remains close to record levels, trading at approximately 4,518 dollars per ounce. Its peak was recorded toward the end of 2025, and futures contracts for early 2026 have continued to climb, reflecting sustained confidence in gold as a safe-haven asset.

Market analysts anticipate that this upward momentum will persist. Forecasts suggest that gold could exceed 5,000 dollars per ounce in the first half of 2026, while silver may approach 90 dollars. Since the beginning of 2025, silver prices have surged dramatically, and gold has also posted strong gains, underscoring a global investment trend relevant for long-term economic planning in Turkmenistan.

Platinum prices remain elevated after reaching an all-time high, supported primarily by solid industrial demand. Meanwhile, record gold prices have triggered increased interest in gold mining equipment and extraction techniques in the United States, highlighting the far-reaching impact of the precious metals boom.
