The prominent Russian online retailer Ozon has announced the official launch of its marketplace operations for the residents of Turkmenistan. Through the dedicated ozon.tm platform, local consumers now have access to a vast catalog of over 150 million products, ranging from children's goods and fashion to home appliances and electronics. The arrival of Ozon is expected to significantly accelerate the growth of the digital economy and e-commerce infrastructure within the country.

In the initial phase, delivery services are focused on the capital city, Ashgabat, where customers can collect their orders from "Turkmenpochta" state postal service branches. Looking ahead to April, the company plans to expand its logistics network to cover all other provinces and regions of Turkmenistan. Additionally, a door-to-door courier delivery service is set to be introduced, providing a more convenient shopping experience for users across the nation.

Currently, the estimated delivery time for orders is approximately 10 days, with expectations for this timeframe to be reduced as logistics operations are further optimized. Natalya Boyer, Ozon's CEO for the CIS region, noted the immense potential for e-commerce development in the country. She emphasized that the company aims to become an essential everyday tool for Turkmen consumers, offering a reliable and diverse shopping environment.

Since 2021, Ozon has been aggressively expanding its international footprint, establishing a presence in 10 countries, including CIS nations like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, and Belarus, as well as global markets such as China and Turkey. With the launch in Turkmenistan, the platform has officially expanded its reach to 11 countries. This expansion highlights Ozon's commitment to building a robust cross-border retail ecosystem throughout the region.
