Extensive preparations are underway in the Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan to supply cotton growers with premium-quality seeds ahead of the spring sowing season. Cotton processing enterprises across the region are focused on producing seed varieties that match the soil and climate characteristics of northern Turkmenistan.

At the modern cotton ginning facility in the Kunyaurgench district of Turkmenistan, nearly four thousand tons of seed cotton have been prepared. The bulk of this volume consists of selected varieties such as “Gubadag-3,” “Jeyhun,” “F-27,” and “F-47,” known for their resilience and high yield potential.

Similar efforts are ongoing at the cotton processing plant operated by the S. Rozmetov Agricultural Joint-Stock Society in the Shabat district of Turkmenistan. The facility includes a dedicated production line for chemical treatment and purification of seed material, ensuring consistent quality standards.

The use of these advanced seeds promotes uniform germination and increased productivity. The “Jeyhun” cotton variety, developed and tested by local specialists, is widely cultivated on the society’s fields. As a medium-staple variety, it has proven to be well adapted to Turkmenistan’s environmental conditions and demonstrates reliable harvest results, strengthening Turkmenistan’s cotton sector.
