Dashoguz hosts celebrations in honor of the Galkynysh National Equestrian Group’s international victories

A series of festive events took place in the Dashoguz province to commemorate the global acclaim recently received by the "Galkynysh" national equestrian group. The celebrations kicked off at the Gerogly Square in the city of Dashoguz, featuring dramatic performances by actors from the Nurmuhammet Andalyp State Musical Drama Theater, showcasing the region's artistic heritage.

Members of the "Galkynysh" group visited the Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, where they explored ancient national artifacts that reflect the enduring legacy of the Turkmen people. The main festivities continued at the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" building, where speakers highlighted the Akhal-Teke horse as a quintessential symbol of bravery, elegance, and loyalty, deeply rooted in the nation’s cultural identity.

The highlight of the event was a spectacular performance by the "Galkynysh" group inside the grand hall of "Türkmeniň ak öýi." Following the breathtaking equestrian stunts, a traditional "agzaçar sadakasy" dinner was organized for the participants and guests. These celebrations follow the group's historic achievement at the 48th International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo in January 2026, where they were presented with prestigious certificates from the World Circus Federation and the European Circus Association. The group is currently touring all provinces of Turkmenistan to share this milestone with the entire nation.

















Turkmenistan Develops Bio-Agent to Neutralize Methane Emissions

Specialists at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, led by Durdymyrat Gadamov and Altyn Rahmanova, have developed a new-generation bio-agent designed to neutralize soil methane emissions. The solution utilizes local bacteria adapted to the regional climate, which harness methane monooxygenase to convert methane into carbon dioxide and water.

Methane is a major contributor to global warming, with a heat-trapping capacity in the atmosphere significantly higher than that of carbon dioxide. The newly developed bio-agent features high efficiency in industrially congested areas, cost-effectiveness through the use of local raw materials, and complete safety for human health and the environment.

This scientific breakthrough aligns with Turkmenistan's sustainable development strategy, supporting its commitments under the Global Methane Pledge to enhance environmental oversight in the energy sector.
