Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced via social media that he has formed his own music band. The group was named “Warchabend,” a creative blend of an Armenian term referring to the prime minister and the English word “band.”

The band’s first live performance is scheduled for January 30 in Yerevan. The initiative has attracted public attention not only in Armenia but also abroad, including in Turkmenistan, where cultural activities involving public figures often spark interest.

Earlier, on January 19, 2026, Pashinyan shared a rehearsal video online, revealing the band’s lineup, which includes a pianist, guitarist, saxophonist, two female vocalists, and Pashinyan himself performing as the drummer. At that time, he expressed the idea of organizing a youth-oriented disco-style event.

Just days later, registration for attendance was closed due to overwhelming demand from those wishing to attend the concert. The development was reported by international media outlets.
