On the Occasion of Independence Day: 225 Individuals Granted Presidential Pardon in Turkmenistan

In honor of Turkmenistan’s 34th Independence Day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree granting clemency to 225 inmates. The decision was announced during a Cabinet meeting.

The President emphasized that offering forgiveness to those who have shown remorse for their past actions is a long-standing tradition rooted in compassion and justice.

The Secretary of the State Security Council, Begench Gundogdyev, reported on the preparation process for the pardons. Following the presidential order, he will coordinate with the Minister of Defense and law enforcement officials to ensure the release and safe return of the pardoned individuals to their families.

President Berdimuhamedov expressed his hope that those released will lead responsible lives, contribute positively to society, and serve their country with sincerity.

















Two-Time Lottery Winner Donates Prize Money to Children in Need

North Carolina resident Christian Breton has secured a major lottery payout for the second time. According to Lottery Post, he has decided to donate a portion of his winnings to support school-aged children from low-income families in his local community.

After purchasing a $30 "$100,000 Cash Payday" scratch-off ticket, Breton claimed the $100,000 top prize, taking home $72,000 after taxes. This marks his second major win, following a $2 million prize in August 2024. Breton shared that while his previous winnings went toward helping his mother, his goal this time is to give back to the community by supporting families in need.
