20 Feb. 07:45From February 9 to 12, 2026, representatives of the Turkmenistan Energy Forum actively engaged in high-level industry events in London, such as International Energy Week and the London Energy Forum. The delegation presented a portfolio of priority investment opportunities, focusing on strengthening ties with global energy corporations and international financial organizations ahead of upcoming industry gatherings in Ashgabat.
The showcase featured several landmark projects, most notably the continued phased development of the Galkynysh gas field and the construction of the TAPI (Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India) pipeline. Investors were also introduced to offshore exploration opportunities in the Caspian Sea, the modernization of the Turkmenbashi and Seydi oil refineries, and the ongoing expansion of the domestic gas-chemical infrastructure.
Sustainable energy initiatives occupied a prominent place in the discussions, including a 10 MW hybrid solar-wind power plant project and specialized efforts to mitigate gas combustion at the Darvaza crater. The forums concluded with a shared vision among energy leaders that natural gas remains a critical transition fuel, essential for maintaining global energy security as the world increasingly integrates renewable sources.
