Turkmenistan Establishes New District Courts in Response to Administrative Reforms
02 Oct. 09:53President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan has signed a decree approving the creation of several new district courts across the Ahal, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary provinces, following recent updates to the country’s administrative-territorial divisions.
According to the decree, the following courts have been officially established without exceeding the existing national staffing limits for the judiciary:
Altyn Asyr District Court (Ahal),
Garashsyzlyk and Gubadag District Courts (Dashoguz),
Dowletli, Farap, and Garabekawul District Courts (Lebap),
Oguzhan District Court (Mary).
The Ministry of Finance and Economy has been tasked with adjusting the 2025 State Budget to reflect the operational needs of these newly formed judicial institutions.
During the same government session, reports on the activities of national defense and law enforcement agencies over the past nine months were reviewed, with a focus on ensuring public and national security.
