The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan issued an official message of sympathy to the Swiss authorities following a severe fire at a renowned alpine ski resort. Turkmenistan emphasized that it received the news of the tragic incident with profound sorrow, noting the significant loss of life and the serious injuries sustained by many people.
According to the statement, Turkmenistan reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian values and international solidarity during times of hardship. The government of Turkmenistan extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and expressed wishes for a swift recovery for those affected.
International media reported that the fire broke out on New Year’s Eve at a venue located in the resort area of Crans-Montana. Local police sources indicated that dozens of individuals lost their lives, while more than a hundred suffered severe injuries.
