During a government session held on September 25, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution granting 142 individuals the right to reside permanently in Turkmenistan.
The group includes citizens from seven different countries and representatives of fifteen nationalities.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov stated that Turkmenistan remains committed to the humanistic traditions of its ancestors. He reported that, to date, a total of 5,152 foreign nationals and stateless persons have been granted residency in the country under this policy.

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has departed for the Russian Federation on a working visit to take part in a high-level informal meeting of heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The visit reflects Turkmenistan’s continued engagement in regional dialogue and cooperation.
The President of Turkmenistan was seen off at Ashgabat International Airport by senior officials. After a several-hour flight, the presidential aircraft landed at Saint Petersburg International Airport, where the Turkmen leader was warmly welcomed by official representatives of the host country.
Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan is consistently implementing a forward-looking and constructive foreign policy that enjoys broad international support. A key priority of Turkmenistan’s diplomatic strategy is strengthening effective interaction within respected global and regional organizations, including the CIS framework.
