Turkmen Flavors in Baku: Friendship Festival and Culinary Arts on Baku Boulevard
As part of the Days of Turkmenistan Culture in Azerbaijan, the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan opened on the famous Baku Boulevard, transforming the waterfront into a vibrant center of Turkic hospitality. The event, designed to strengthen cultural and spiritual ties between the two fraternal countries, became a true celebration, with national cuisine and music taking center stage.
The pavilion became a focal point for numerous guests, including deputy ministers of culture of the two countries, members of the diplomatic corps, and members of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
The gastronomic section of the exhibition was of particular interest to visitors. Turkmen culinary masters, working live, presented a rich palette of national dishes.
Guests delighted in watching the preparation of mouth-watering pilaf, golden-brown pastries, and traditional delicacies, which they could then sample. Visitors eagerly took photographs of the culinary show, capturing the memorable moments.
Following the pavilion's opening ceremony, the celebration moved onto the stage. Guests were treated to a rich concert program featuring artists from Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. The audience enjoyed national dances, folk songs, and contemporary compositions, which once again emphasized the spiritual and cultural affinity between the two nations.
The opening of the pavilion was one of the highlights of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan, which will run until October 15, giving residents of Baku the opportunity to become more familiar with the rich cultural heritage of their brotherly country.

National Leader of the Turkmen people pays working visit to Balkan region of Turkmenistan
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paid a working visit to the Balkan region of Turkmenistan today. During the trip, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan reviewed issues related to the high-level organization of major international events scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan in 2026, in line with the country’s foreign policy strategy.
As part of the visit, the National Leader of Turkmenistan examined project proposals concerning the readiness of facilities planned for international events along the Caspian Sea coast. Attention was given to the landscaping of surrounding areas, the modern design of entrance zones, the level of interior equipment, the layout of venues for various stages of international forums, and the progress of interior finishing works in buildings intended for large-scale conferences.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that all necessary conditions must be created for international guests attending events in Turkmenistan. He also highlighted the importance of fully integrating digital technologies into these facilities and provided guidance to relevant officials.
During the working trip, the National Leader conducted an aerial inspection by helicopter over the Avaza National Tourist Zone, where he reviewed ongoing construction projects. Upon completion of the visit to the Balkan region of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov returned to Ashgabat.
