A United States delegation paid an official visit to Turkmenistan, during which a series of high-level meetings were held. The delegation included U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll and the U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor.

During the visit, the delegation was received by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Separate talks were also held with the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The discussions focused on strengthening political dialogue, as well as expanding economic and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States.

As part of the visit to Turkmenistan, the American representatives were introduced to the country’s cultural heritage. They visited the Turkmen State Circus, became acquainted with the famous Turkmen alabay dogs, and toured Ancient Nisa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Turkmenistan.

Concluding the visit, the U.S. delegation expressed sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality and praised the excellent organization of their stay in Turkmenistan.
