During the national autumn greening campaign across Turkmenistan, 449,464 tree seedlings were planted, reports TDH.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov inaugurated the autumn season of the campaign by planting a 12-year-old Turkmen juniper, symbolically marking December 12 – International Neutrality Day.

In addition to planting new trees, the campaign included the care of 1,997,775 existing trees, along with cleaning and improving parks and forested areas.

Planting diverse tree species according to local soil and climate conditions will create green zones on mountain slopes and other landscapes across the country.
