Major international events timed to coincide with the National Turkmen Carpet Day have officially commenced in the capital. The celebratory program featured the grand opening of a specialized exhibition of carpets and textile products, alongside the XXVI Meeting of the World Association of Turkmen Carpet Connoisseurs. President Serdar Berdimuhamedow addressed a formal congratulatory message to the participants, organizers, and foreign guests, highlighting the profound cultural weight of these simultaneous forums.

The Head of State emphasized that the National Carpet Day reflects the country's deep institutional and social respect for its ancient applied arts, which encapsulate the spiritual history of the nation. The complex geometric patterns, known as "gols," express the unique worldview, craftsmanship, and aesthetic depth of Turkmen draftswomen. These meticulously detailed handmade masterpieces, celebrated worldwide for their durability, are recognized as primary components of the nation's material culture.

A significant portion of the presidential message focused on the state heraldry, where classic carpet designs occupy a prominent position on the country's official emblems. Integrating these historical symbols into state iconography demonstrates the modern republic's strict adherence to ancestral guidelines and sovereign continuity. This practice serves as a direct model for preserving national identity, linguistic traditions, and spiritual integrity within contemporary institutional frameworks.

In conclusion, the President of Turkmenistan congratulated the artisans, researchers, and international scholars on the official opening of the central exposition and the scientific conference. The Head of State extended his warmest wishes for robust health, domestic prosperity, and professional distinction to all attendees. He expressed firm confidence that the current international forum would significantly enhance multilateral research collaboration and promote the prestige of Turkmen arts in global markets.
