The "Altyn Asyr" cellular operator has successfully launched its fourth-generation (4G) network along the Mary — Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat — Turkmenabat high-speed highway. This new infrastructure provides road users with high-speed data transfer, high-quality voice and video communication, as well as seamless access to navigation services and online maps.

The activation of the 4G network coincided with the grand opening of the final stage of the highway, attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The completion of this major road project stands as one of the most significant events in the country's transportation sector this year, bolstering its transit potential.

According to the operator, implementing modern communication standards along the transport corridor not only enhances comfort for drivers and passengers but also directly impacts the efficiency of transport and logistics operations. Stable connectivity allows for the use of digital tools to monitor and manage cargo in real-time, which is essential for modern logistical services.

The Ashgabat — Turkmenabat highway is a vital part of the international transit corridor, connecting the capital with the eastern regions of the country. Turkmenistan Develops Bio-Agent to Neutralize Methane Emissions

Specialists at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, led by Durdymyrat Gadamov and Altyn Rahmanova, have developed a new-generation bio-agent designed to neutralize soil methane emissions. The solution utilizes local bacteria adapted to the regional climate, which harness methane monooxygenase to convert methane into carbon dioxide and water.

Methane is a major contributor to global warming, with a heat-trapping capacity in the atmosphere significantly higher than that of carbon dioxide. The newly developed bio-agent features high efficiency in industrially congested areas, cost-effectiveness through the use of local raw materials, and complete safety for human health and the environment.

This scientific breakthrough aligns with Turkmenistan's sustainable development strategy, supporting its commitments under the Global Methane Pledge to enhance environmental oversight in the energy sector.
