Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry Prepares High-Level Diplomatic Visits for 2026

During a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov stated that one of the main priorities of Turkmenistan’s diplomatic service is the preparation of major international visits scheduled for 2026.
These plans include forthcoming foreign visits by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Such visits are viewed as a key element in advancing Turkmenistan’s foreign policy agenda and strengthening its role in international affairs.
Summarizing the report, the President emphasized the importance of comprehensive and high-quality preparation for upcoming top-level meetings. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was instructed to continue promoting the country’s international initiatives aimed at ensuring global peace, stability, and sustainable development.
Statistical data presented during the meeting illustrated the openness and diplomatic dynamism of Turkmenistan. In January, the country hosted 30 foreign delegations, while 65 Turkmen delegations represented national interests abroad. A total of 116 official negotiations and meetings were held, including online sessions, and Turkmenistan’s international legal framework was expanded by 12 new agreements.


FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder Gavi (Pablo Paéz Gavira) is donating approximately €1.3 million to fund the construction of 150 homes for homeless and low-income individuals. The project will take place in his hometown of Los Palacios y Villafranca, located in the province of Seville.
According to Spanish media outlets, the development is designed to shelter around 300 people who face financial difficulties in purchasing or renting a home. The initiative is a purely charitable endeavor funded entirely by the footballer rather than a commercial real estate investment.
Specific details regarding construction timelines and eligibility criteria for housing recipients will be announced in subsequent phases of the project.
