On September 15, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov was received in Doha by the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Emir conveyed his warm regards to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He expressed sincere gratitude for Turkmenistan's continued support during this challenging period.
The meeting highlighted the strong fraternal ties between the two nations and the wide potential for expanding cooperation across various sectors. The Emir emphasized that relations between Qatar and Turkmenistan are based on mutual respect and trust, offering a solid foundation for future collaboration.
Both sides also underlined the importance of their joint efforts on the global stage — particularly within the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other major international bodies.
