Turkmenistan maintained an active foreign policy agenda throughout January, reinforcing its role as a platform for international dialogue. During the month, the country welcomed 30 foreign delegations, while 65 Turkmen delegations carried out official visits abroad. This information was presented at the Government meeting held on February 6 by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov.

According to the report, 116 official talks and meetings were organized in Turkmenistan in cooperation with foreign states and international organizations, reflecting the broad scope of the country’s diplomatic engagement.

Over the same period, Turkmenistan expanded its international legal framework by adopting 12 new agreements and documents. In addition, inter-ministerial political consultations were conducted with the Republic of Austria, India, the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Russian Federation.

Another important aspect of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy is the development of diplomatic relations through foreign embassies. In this context, January saw the presentation of credentials by the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Chad to Turkmenistan.

After reviewing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to further strengthen cooperation with countries worldwide and leading international organizations, while emphasizing the importance of organizing upcoming international events in Turkmenistan at the highest possible level.
