Turkmenistan Discusses National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Framework
06 Mar. 09:12On March 5, the Archabil Hotel in Ashgabat hosted a strategic workshop titled "National AI Strategy: Developing Joint Solutions for Sustainable Development." The event gathered officials from various Turkmen ministries and international experts from the UNDP to outline a roadmap for AI integration. Key discussions focused on establishing a robust legal framework, securing national databases, and developing the digital infrastructure required to support AI-driven economic growth.
The development of the National AI Strategy is a core component of the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2026–2028. Led by the Ministry of Communications, the initiative aims to adopt global best practices in machine learning and automation. Strategic meetings with the Ministry of Finance and Economy also highlighted the potential of AI to modernize public services and boost industrial efficiency across the country.
