In mid-April, Astrakhan will host the fifth international forum focused on transport and logistics development in the Caspian region. The event will bring together business leaders, government officials, and industry experts to address current challenges and explore practical solutions in the transport sector.
The forum is expected to serve as an effective platform for discussing optimization tools, improving cross-border logistics chains, and enhancing cooperation among Caspian countries.
The agenda is structured in two stages. On the first day, participants will take part in guided visits to key logistics facilities in the region. The second day will feature a plenary session with expert presentations and analytical discussions. Representatives of ports, shipping companies, railway operators, and investors are expected to attend.
The forum holds particular importance for Turkmenistan, which is actively expanding the capacity of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and developing land transport routes within the North–South international transport corridor. Such events support Turkmenistan’s growing role as a strategic logistics hub in the Caspian region.

FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder Gavi (Pablo Paéz Gavira) is donating approximately €1.3 million to fund the construction of 150 homes for homeless and low-income individuals. The project will take place in his hometown of Los Palacios y Villafranca, located in the province of Seville.
According to Spanish media outlets, the development is designed to shelter around 300 people who face financial difficulties in purchasing or renting a home. The initiative is a purely charitable endeavor funded entirely by the footballer rather than a commercial real estate investment.
Specific details regarding construction timelines and eligibility criteria for housing recipients will be announced in subsequent phases of the project.
