Turkmen Foreign Minister Holds Talks with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State in New York
On September 22, 2025, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
The two officials held discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of Turkmen-American relations. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding cooperation in the economic sector, especially in areas related to investment and technology.
The role of the Turkmen-American Business Council was highlighted as a vital platform for promoting dialogue between leading companies from both countries. The meeting also included an exchange of views on pressing international and regional issues.

During his official visit to the Russian Federation, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid a visit to the State Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s most renowned cultural institutions. The visit was confirmed by official representatives of the host country.
The President of Turkmenistan was accompanied by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Together, they explored the museum’s vast collections and historical exhibits.
Following the tour, an informal meeting of CIS heads of state was held in the St. George Hall of the Hermitage. Turkmenistan’s participation highlighted the country’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and regional cooperation.
