Turkmen Foreign Minister Attends Emergency Summits in Doha

Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, is on a working visit to Doha, Qatar, where he is participating in emergency meetings of the Foreign Ministers of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as the extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit.

According to Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ashgabat presented its official stance on recent regional developments, firmly opposing the use of force in resolving international disputes. Turkmenistan emphasized that such actions violate the UN Charter and universally recognized principles of international law.

During his visit, Meredov held a meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. He conveyed official greetings from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The two sides discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, focusing on political dialogue, economic partnership, and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

President of Turkmenistan Visits the State Hermitage Museum

During his official visit to the Russian Federation, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid a visit to the State Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s most renowned cultural institutions. The visit was confirmed by official representatives of the host country.

The President of Turkmenistan was accompanied by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Together, they explored the museum’s vast collections and historical exhibits.

Following the tour, an informal meeting of CIS heads of state was held in the St. George Hall of the Hermitage. Turkmenistan’s participation highlighted the country’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and regional cooperation.
