New Border Crossings Established for Foreign Nationals Leaving Iran via Turkmenistan
04 Mar. 06:23Turkmenistan has increased the number of operational checkpoints on its border with Iran to facilitate the safe departure of foreign citizens. In addition to the existing Sarakhs gateway, four more locations have been opened: Artyk-Lutfabad, Gaudan-Bajgiran, Akyayla-Incheburun, and Altyn Asyr-Incheburun.
This logistical expansion comes amid rising regional instability. Earlier this week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan issued a formal statement highlighting its concern over the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, prompting these urgent border measures.
