The official delegation from Turkmenistan has successfully concluded its participation in the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Following a productive agenda in Boston, the Turkmen experts traveled to the state of Colorado. Running from September 15 to 19, 2026, in Denver, and organized with the support of WorldDenver, this concluding leg of the program focused on exploring best practices in intellectual property right protection, startup growth, and technology transfer.

The business itinerary in Denver was exceptionally comprehensive and engaged key regional economic and educational institutions.

At the World Trade Center Denver, the experts discussed export controls, international trade regulations, and compliance frameworks protecting sensitive technologies.

At the University of Denver, the delegation held detailed discussions with leadership from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and the Office of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, focusing on research commercialization and licensing strategies.

Continuing their immersion into the local innovation ecosystem, the delegates visited 303 Software to explore a tech startup’s experience with digital product and intellectual property protections.

Participants also attended an open session during Colorado Startup Week centered on legal essentials for founders and early-stage IP safeguarding.

A vital highlight of the business agenda was a visit to CU Innovations at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, which provided deep insights into biomedical technology commercialization, venture development, and healthcare industry partnerships.

The cultural program allowed the guests to experience Colorado’s unique geography and history.

The delegation enjoyed scenic mountain views along the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway,

toured the historic Victorian town of Georgetown,

visited the world-renowned natural Red Rocks Amphitheatre,

explored the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave on Lookout Mountain,

and toured downtown Golden.

Concluding their intensive Denver itinerary and their overall U.S. program, the Turkmenistan delegation departed from Denver International Airport on September 19, 2026, successfully wrapping up their comprehensive journey.
