Progress Review of Administrative Infrastructure Construction in Arkadag City

On April 4, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan conducted an on-site inspection to review the progress of the construction activities. This visit highlights the ongoing commitment to establishing a high-tech administrative hub that meets international standards of urban planning.
During the site visit, the focus was placed on the layout and functional capabilities of the new facility, including its assembly halls, press centers, and auxiliary administrative offices. Officials from the state construction committee provided detailed reports on the technical specifications and the materials being used. The project aims to blend traditional architectural elements with cutting-edge infrastructure to ensure long-term durability and efficiency.
Recommendations were provided regarding the interior equipment and the technological outfitting of the building. It was emphasized that modern administrative facilities must prioritize digital integration to facilitate seamless governance and provide professional environments for media representatives. The implementation of "smart" solutions remains a central pillar of the city's second phase of expansion.
The municipality’s new administrative center is expected to streamline local governance and serve as a model for future urban projects in the region. Furthermore, directives were issued to enhance the global promotion of Arkadag city's development. Media leaders were advised to focus on highlighting the city’s unique architectural style and its status as a pioneering smart city in the international informational space.

Specialists at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, led by Durdymyrat Gadamov and Altyn Rahmanova, have developed a new-generation bio-agent designed to neutralize soil methane emissions. The solution utilizes local bacteria adapted to the regional climate, which harness methane monooxygenase to convert methane into carbon dioxide and water.
Methane is a major contributor to global warming, with a heat-trapping capacity in the atmosphere significantly higher than that of carbon dioxide. The newly developed bio-agent features high efficiency in industrially congested areas, cost-effectiveness through the use of local raw materials, and complete safety for human health and the environment.
This scientific breakthrough aligns with Turkmenistan's sustainable development strategy, supporting its commitments under the Global Methane Pledge to enhance environmental oversight in the energy sector.
