Russian Deputy Foreign Minister thanks Turkmenistan’s ambassador for contribution to bilateral cooperation

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin expressed gratitude to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Russia, Esen Aydogdyev, for his contribution to strengthening bilateral relations as he completes his diplomatic mission in Moscow.

The meeting took place on March 13 in the Russian capital. During the discussion, the participants reviewed the main directions of the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation and exchanged views on further expanding cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Esen Aydogdyev also thanked the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support and cooperation provided during his diplomatic service aimed at strengthening ties between Turkmenistan and Russia.

It is worth recalling that earlier the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, relieved Esen Aydogdyev of his duties as Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation, as well as his concurrent diplomatic posts in Serbia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria. At the same time, he was appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States.

















Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and PETRONAS Sign New Memorandum

The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance cooperation in education and vocational training. The signing meeting involved Minister of Education J. Gurbangeldiyev, Malaysian Ambassador Mohd Suhaimi bin Ahmad Tajuddin, and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) CEO Ismadi bin Ismail.

The agreement coincides with the 30th anniversary of PETRONAS's operations in Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector. Discussions focused on qualifying skilled workforce candidates for the energy industry, extending scholarship opportunities for Turkmen students at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, and advancing professional development programs.

To date, Turkmenistan and Malaysia have established nearly 20 educational agreements. During the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, three additional agreements were finalized between local universities and Universiti Tenaga Nasional to support academic mobility and exchange initiatives.
