President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the International Forum for Peace and Trust and celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. In Ashgabat, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was met by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by the press service of the President of Kazakhstan. "I very eagerly accepted the invitation of the highest leadership of Turkmenistan to come here to participate in such a very important event. The agenda offered to us is highly relevant in today's turbulent and unpredictable world, and especially in the context of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN." I have no doubt that tomorrow's forum will be a success, and this will be another positive contribution by Turkmenistan to stabilizing the situation globally and, of course, strengthening the atmosphere of friendship and cooperation in Central Asia," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in a brief conversation with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During his visit, the Kazakh president will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.
