At the international forum taking place today in Ashgabat, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, highlighted the significance of Turkmenistan’s initiatives aimed at strengthening global peace, security, and sustainable development. He noted that the high-level forum held on the occasion of the anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality plays an important role in advancing dialogue and mutual trust within the international community.
The Iranian leader placed special emphasis on Turkmenistan’s contribution to the establishment of the Group of Friends of Neutrality at the United Nations, describing it as clear evidence of the country’s consistent commitment to peace-oriented diplomacy.
Masoud Pezeshkian also stated that Iran steadily supports initiatives focused on promoting peace, enhancing regional cooperation, and deepening multilateral relations. He stressed that sustainable development can only be achieved through equal dialogue, respect for international law, and collective efforts by states.
Concluding his address, the President of Iran expressed gratitude to the Government of Turkmenistan for its hospitality and reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to support proposals aimed at reinforcing peace and stability.
