International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to Open in Ashgabat on September 1
The International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is set to open in Ashgabat on September 1, coinciding with the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. This was announced by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, where the government’s performance for the first eight months of 2025 was reviewed.
The President emphasized the strategic importance of the new university for the country’s development and invited Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to attend the opening ceremony.
The university's inauguration will be part of nationwide celebrations marking the start of the academic year. On the same day, a new academic building of the State Energy Institute will open in the city of Mary, along with new schools and kindergartens across the country.
These developments reflect Turkmenistan’s consistent socio-economic progress. In the first eight months of 2025, GDP growth reached 6.3%, and numerous industrial and social infrastructure projects were completed under national development programs.

Turkmenistan Announces the Contest “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace”
The editorial office of Nesil newspaper, together with the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, has announced the launch of the contest “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace.” The official announcement was published in the Nesil newspaper issue dated October 28.
The competition is open to young people under the age of 35. Participants are invited to submit essays, short stories, and poems dedicated to the themes of national achievements, patriotism, permanent neutrality, peace, friendship, and unity.
Entries must be submitted by December 10 with the note “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace.” Applications should include an information sheet, a copy of the passport, two 3×4 photos, home address, and phone number.
