A delegation of businesswomen from Turkmenistan attended two major international exhibitions — Maison & Objet and Who’s Next Paris — held in Paris from January 15 to 19. The visit was organized within the framework of the project “Turkmenistan: Trade Sustainability and Integration,” implemented by the International Trade Centre with the support of the European Union.

Maison & Objet took place at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center from January 15 to 19, while Who’s Next Paris was held from January 17 to 19 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. These global platforms brought together professionals from the creative industries, offering representatives of Turkmenistan valuable exposure to international trends and markets.

The Turkmenistan delegation included members of the fashion and design brands Binaym, Shekil Studio/Ensi, AYM (AYMAHRI), as well as designer Mukaddes Ibragimova. Participants gained insights into international product presentation standards, export readiness, packaging and certification requirements, and also engaged in meetings with potential business partners.

According to AYM founder Nurjahan Tachmyradova, participation in such exhibitions allows entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan to observe how international companies operate and to apply relevant approaches within their own enterprises. Shasenem Garlyyeva, founder of Unique Camel Wool, emphasized that these events help better understand global market expectations and open new opportunities for long-term cooperation.

The project “Turkmenistan: Trade Sustainability and Integration” aims to strengthen the business environment in Turkmenistan, enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, and support the country’s integration into regional and global trade systems, including cooperation with the European Union.
