Turkmenistan Announces Winners of International Olympiad on Financial Reporting Standards
26 Dec. 14:15The Turkmen State Institute of Finance has officially announced the results of the Second Open International Online Olympiad in the subject International Financial Reporting Standards, marking an important academic milestone for Turkmenistan.
The competition was held on December 17 in an individual online format and brought together students from higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and several foreign countries. Participants demonstrated strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of financial reporting.
More than 200 students from 53 universities across 9 countries took part in the Olympiad. Foreign institutions were represented by 126 participants from 33 universities. As a result, 69 international students secured prize positions, including 13 first-place, 27 second-place, and 29 third-place awards.
Turkmenistan was represented by 77 students from 20 national universities. Among them, 14 students from Turkmenistan achieved prize-winning results, earning 2 first places, 3 second places, and 9 third places.
According to the organizers, hosting the Olympiad in Turkmenistan significantly contributed to strengthening inter-university cooperation and expanded international academic collaboration in the field of finance and accounting.

Entrance Examinations for Higher and Secondary Vocational Institutions Completed in Turkmenistan
24 Aug. 18:38Turkmenistan has officially concluded its admission campaign for higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year. Held between July 13 and August 24, 2026, the examination process was conducted under state commission oversight and public supervision. Notably, entrance exams at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were administered using a standardized testing format.
Following the examination results, over 18,000 applicants were admitted to higher education institutions. Under the newly implemented "Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052," several new academic tracks were established across specialist, bachelor's, and master's degree levels, aligning with the "Atlas of Future Professions." Priority admission status was granted to international competition winners, top athletes, and high school medalists.
