A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister Ahmet Gurbanov and the Acting Chargé d’Affaires of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan, Fazal Muhammad Sabir.

During the discussion, the deputy minister expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the Afghan diplomat regarding the devastating earthquake in northern Afghanistan, which caused casualties and injuries.

Ahmet Gurbanov emphasized that Turkmenistan received the news with sorrow and affirmed the country’s readiness to deliver humanitarian assistance to the affected population of brotherly Afghanistan in the near future.

The Ministry highlighted that Turkmenistan’s longstanding tradition of supporting others in difficult times remains a cornerstone of fostering friendly relations and neighborly cooperation between nations.

This ongoing humanitarian mission is exemplified by the systematic work of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Foundation, which consistently provides aid to children and populations in need, including those in Afghanistan affected by natural disasters, reinforcing Turkmenistan’s unwavering commitment to helping neighboring peoples.
