Ashgabat has become the venue for a major international event focused on the advancement of healthcare, education, and sports. Held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the forum coincides with the national Day of Healthcare Workers and has gathered professionals and businesses from around the world.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov opened the event with a message emphasizing that the well-being, health, and prosperity of the people remain the central goals of national policy.
The forum showcases the country’s progress in healthcare: new facilities are under construction, including a pediatric center, an oncology institute, and a dental clinic in Ashgabat. Meanwhile, the city of Arkadag is expanding its medical cluster, and new diagnostic centers are being built across the regions.
Innovation plays a key role — telemedicine, digital consultations, and expanded international partnerships with WHO and leading institutions have become integral parts of the system. The "Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment" company has launched production of eco-friendly medical goods using local raw materials.
The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Foundation continues to support children in need of medical care.
Educational reforms include a shift to a 12-year school system, digital learning tools, and the construction of modern academic complexes. Turkmenistan is also gaining recognition as a sporting nation, with international backing through UN and CIS resolutions.
Scientific events are being held alongside the exhibition, such as cardiology, physiology, and oncology congresses for experts from Eurasian and Turkic-speaking nations — offering a platform for collaboration and dialogue.
Running through October 12, the exhibition presents the latest medical technologies, educational tools, and sports innovations, reflecting Turkmenistan’s commitment to improving public health and well-being.
