Weekly Commodity Exchange Transactions Exceed Multimillion-Dollar Threshold
18 May. 16:37The latest weekly trading sessions at the state commodity exchange concluded with a high volume of commercial activity, integrating both regional and international corporate buyers. A total of 19 major wholesale contracts were formally registered, with the aggregate value of foreign currency transactions reaching over 13.066 million USD. The commercial outcome reflects the diverse market demand for the country's industrial and agricultural output.
Foreign buyers from the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan heavily targeted the petrochemical sector during the competitive bidding process. The primary focus of these currency-denominated transactions was the acquisition of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and desulfurized diesel fractions fabricated by high-tech state-owned chemical and gas processing plants.
Concurrently, corporate entities from Hong Kong, Turkey, the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan secured high-volume contracts for textile materials and pharmaceutical ingredients. The export portfolio for these markets comprised bulk shipments of cotton yarn, finished bedding textiles, raw silk components, and dry licorice root extract, indicating sustained interest in non-resource sectors.
On the domestic front, local private enterprises and brokers engaged in extensive trading utilizing national currency frameworks. Domestic businesses focused on securing essential production elements such as basic industrial oils, raw fabrics, and vital food commodities including refined vegetable oil and processed wheat flour. The total financial volume of these domestic transactions reached 118.350 million manats.
