Turkmenistan Showcases Energy Projects at Gastech 2025 in Milan
From September 9 to 12, Milan hosted Gastech 2025, a major international exhibition and conference that brought together over 50,000 energy professionals from 150 countries. The event included participation from energy ministers and executives of major companies such as Shell, TotalEnergies, BP, and ADNOC.
Key topics discussed included energy security, LNG supply, decarbonization, and the adoption of clean energy technologies, including carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen energy, and the use of AI in the gas sector.
Experts emphasized the long-term role of natural gas, highlighting the Asian market as the primary driver of future demand — a key point for Turkmenistan, especially in the context of the TAPI pipeline project.
Representatives from Turkmen Energy Forum held meetings with partners from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. They also extended official invitations to international companies for the 30th International Oil & Gas of Turkmenistan Conference – OGT 2025, to be held in Ashgabat from October 22 to 24.
According to organizers, over 300 delegates from 40 countries have already confirmed their participation, and the entire exhibition space is fully booked — signaling strong global interest in Turkmenistan’s energy sector.
The OGT 2025 agenda will cover Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs), hydrocarbon innovation, and opportunities for foreign involvement in developing the country’s energy infrastructure.
