Indian Embassy Invites Turkmen Youth for Exclusive Exchange Program
04 Mar. 08:35The Embassy of India in Ashgabat has announced a unique educational tour for a Central Asian youth delegation, scheduled from March 24 to April 2, 2026. Talented Turkmen nationals aged 15 to 29 with outstanding academic or professional records are eligible to apply. The host country will cover all international airfare, accommodation, meals, and local transportation costs.
Prospective participants must submit their resumes and passport copies to com.ashgabat@mea.gov.in by the deadline of March 5. Officially endorsed during the 2022 Central Asia–India Summit, this initiative serves as a diplomatic platform to foster cultural understanding and build long-term friendships between the younger generations of the two regions.

Switzerland Opens Applications for Government Excellence Scholarships for Young Turkmen Researchers
24 Aug. 14:45The Swiss Government has officially opened the application cycle for its Excellence Scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year. The program target young specialists and researchers from Turkmenistan seeking to conduct post-graduate research or pursue doctoral studies at top Swiss universities and research institutes.
Key applicant requirements:
A Master’s degree or equivalent academic/professional credential;
Age limit: born after December 31, 1991;
A detailed research proposal including a timeline, core methodology, and planned objectives;
An official letter of academic sponsorship from a host professor in Switzerland;
For applicants currently residing in Switzerland, the entry date must not precede August 1, 2026.
The grant includes a monthly allowance, health insurance coverage, partial housing subsidies, and travel expenses. Research fellowships range from 6 to 12 months in duration. Electronic application submissions will remain open through November 27, 2026. Application procedures for Turkmen citizens are overseen by the Embassy of Switzerland in Baku.
