President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, speaking at the UN General Assembly, proposed the establishment of an International Day of Multilingual Diplomacy.

He emphasized the importance of strengthening the UN’s role in fostering humanitarian cooperation, encouraging mutual understanding among nations, and overcoming cultural and spiritual divisions.

This initiative aims to support intercultural dialogue and implement UN General Assembly resolutions promoting multilingualism in international relations.
