Speaking at the UN General Assembly, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow proposed organizing a Caspian Environmental Forum in 2026.

As part of this proposal, Turkmenistan will promote the Caspian Environmental Initiative — a platform aimed at preserving and sustainably managing the fragile ecosystem of the Caspian Sea.
