President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has issued several decrees authorizing significant leadership changes within the regional administrations of Mary and Lebap provinces. These administrative adjustments include the appointment of new district governors (khyakims) and the redistribution of responsibilities among regional officials. In Mary province, Bayram Shungayev has transitioned from his role as the head of the Bayramli district to become the Deputy Governor of the Mary province. Additionally, Azat Gurbanov was appointed as the new governor of the Turkmengala district, succeeding Magtymguly Saryyev, who has officially retired from public service.

The administrative reshuffle also extended to Lebap province, specifically within the Khojambaz district. Merdan Poladow has been officially appointed as the governor of the district, taking over the responsibilities previously handled on an interim basis by Nureddin Sayypow.
