In Ashgabat, a Concert Will Mark the 185th Anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky
25 Oct. 07:38On October 27, Ashgabat will host a concert by the State Symphonic Orchestra of Turkmenistan, conducted by R. Klychev, dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the world-renowned composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The concert, titled "Tchaikovsky – The Voice of the Russian Soul," will take place at the National Music and Drama Theatre named after Makhtumkuli.
The concert will begin at 7:00 PM. Admission is by invitation only.
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) was a great Russian composer whose music is known worldwide. His works, including operas, romances, and choral compositions, represent an immensely valuable contribution to global musical culture and mark a new stage in the development of Russian music.

10 Oct. 06:14A festive concert featuring prominent international and domestic artists was hosted at the "Ashgabat" Multi-Purpose Stadium. The line-up included Russian Pop Star and Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Nyusha, Lebanese singer Maya Diab, Turkish pop icons Murat Boz and Hadise, along with Arsen Shakhunts. Nyusha surprised the audience by concluding her performance with the song "Bagt Nury," composed by National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, the event brought together thousands of music enthusiasts. Following their stage performances, the international guest artists expressed deep admiration for Ashgabat's urban aesthetic and the warm hospitality extended by the Turkmen public.
