Turkmenistan Proposes Adding Neutrality to the Agenda of the 80th UN General Assembly Session
During his speech at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed adding a new agenda item titled "Neutrality for the Sake of Peace and Security."
He noted that this initiative reflects a growing global recognition of the importance of neutrality as a practical tool for peacebuilding and maintaining international stability. According to the President, neutrality should be viewed not just as a legal status but as an active diplomatic instrument.
Turkmenistan, he added, will soon submit a draft resolution entitled "The Role and Importance of the Policy of Neutrality in Promoting International Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development."
