Turkmenistan Places Great Importance on Employment Issues

Source

One of the key goals of Turkmenistan’s modern reforms is the effective management of labor resources, primarily citizens of working age who make up the active part of the population.

According to TDH, amidst successful industrialization and innovative development, great attention is paid to employment. As economic reforms deepen, a labor market is formed where individuals have the exclusive right to manage their skills.

An important step was the approval of the Labor Market Development Concept until 2030, aimed at long-term improvement of the labor market considering socio-economic transformations and strengthening social protection.

The concept includes plans to improve legislation according to the standards of the International Labour Organization, taking into account the country’s economy and national characteristics.

Work will continue to ensure accessible information on job vacancies and update the methodology of its dissemination.

To support citizens wishing to work abroad, measures will be taken to protect their rights and regulate their entry into the international labor market.

For safeguarding workers’ health and safety, modernization of relevant government bodies and strengthening control over compliance with labor laws and safe working conditions is planned.
