Turkmenistan Declares Four-Day Holiday Period for Religious and Spring Celebrations
17 Mar. 04:25President Serdar Berdimuhamedow has signed a decree establishing a series of public holidays in connection with Oraza Bayram and the National Spring Festival.
The initiative aims to strengthen social unity, preserve long-standing cultural traditions, and promote respect for spiritual values. It also focuses on ensuring citizens have favorable conditions to celebrate these occasions and enjoy proper rest.
According to the decree, Oraza Bayram in 2026 will be observed on March 20. The regular day off on March 22 has been officially moved to Monday, March 23. As a result, the period from March 20 through March 23 will be non-working days.
As reported by the Watan news broadcast, all institutions and enterprises, regardless of ownership type, are required to comply with this directive.

This scientific breakthrough aligns with Turkmenistan's sustainable development strategy, supporting its commitments under the Global Methane Pledge to enhance environmental oversight in the energy sector.
