Turkmen University Delegation Participates in Future is Now Program in Malaysia
15 Aug. 05:53From August 3 to 9, a delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development took part in the Future is Now Summer Program at the University of Malaya, one of Malaysia’s top higher education institutions.
According to Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Education, the delegation included one faculty member and five students. During the program, participants explored global best practices, innovation, and creativity while acquiring new knowledge and skills.
The visit was part of the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two universities on December 18, 2024. The agreement supports student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research, and broader cooperation in education.

The program target young specialists and researchers from Turkmenistan seeking to conduct post-graduate research or pursue doctoral studies at top Swiss universities and research institutes.
Key applicant requirements:
A Master’s degree or equivalent academic/professional credential;
Age limit: born after December 31, 1991;
A detailed research proposal including a timeline, core methodology, and planned objectives;
An official letter of academic sponsorship from a host professor in Switzerland;
For applicants currently residing in Switzerland, the entry date must not precede August 1, 2026.
The grant includes a monthly allowance, health insurance coverage, partial housing subsidies, and travel expenses. Research fellowships range from 6 to 12 months in duration. Electronic application submissions will remain open through November 27, 2026. Application procedures for Turkmen citizens are overseen by the Embassy of Switzerland in Baku.
