Turkmen Student Wins First Degree Diploma in International Research Competition
11 May. 14:21Guwanchmyrat Arrykow, a third-year law student at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, has secured a major victory in an international research contest. His academic contribution stood out among numerous submissions, earning him the prestigious first-degree diploma. This achievement reflects the excellence of legal education and research standards maintained at Turkmenistan's primary university.
The competition was organized by the "Eterna" Scientific Publishing Center based in Ufa, Russian Federation. Held online, the event focused on the analysis, modeling, and practical implementation of various scientific solutions. It provided a platform for aspiring researchers to showcase their analytical skills and engage with contemporary academic challenges on a global scale.
The winning entry focused on the legal nature of the fundamental principles of international law. Developed under the academic supervision of S. Gochumowa, the head of the Constitutional Law Department, the paper examined the theoretical and practical frameworks governing international legal relations. The research was praised for its depth and contribution to the field of jurisprudence.
This international recognition marks another step forward in the integration of Turkmen scholars into the global scientific community. The success of young researchers like Arrykow highlights the effective use of modern educational resources and the growing potential of the country's youth in contributing to international legal scholarship.

Entrance Examinations for Higher and Secondary Vocational Institutions Completed in Turkmenistan
24 Aug. 18:38Turkmenistan has officially concluded its admission campaign for higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year. Held between July 13 and August 24, 2026, the examination process was conducted under state commission oversight and public supervision. Notably, entrance exams at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were administered using a standardized testing format.
Following the examination results, over 18,000 applicants were admitted to higher education institutions. Under the newly implemented "Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052," several new academic tracks were established across specialist, bachelor's, and master's degree levels, aligning with the "Atlas of Future Professions." Priority admission status was granted to international competition winners, top athletes, and high school medalists.
