The 12th Northern Countries Universities Mathematical Competition (NCUMC-2026) was held from April 26 to 28 at ITMO University in Saint Petersburg. According to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, this prestigious academic event brought together talented students from leading European universities, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Spain. The competition served as a high-level platform for students to showcase their analytical skills and mathematical proficiency.

Students from Turkmenistan delivered an outstanding performance, securing multiple medals in the individual rankings. Yslam Hayytmuhammedow and Halmyrat Myratgeldiyew from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas earned silver medals for their second-place finish. Additionally, Shohrat Bayramov, representing the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, successfully claimed the third-place position.

These victories reflect the high standards of education in Turkmenistan and the ability of its youth to compete effectively on the global stage in the field of mathematics.
