Vehicles produced by Toyota account for an estimated 60–70% of the total automobile market in Turkmenistan. This share exceeds the brand’s presence in Japan, where it represents less than half of all vehicles.
The figures were presented during a reception hosted by the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. The event was organized to mark the birthday of Emperor Naruhito and was led by Ambassador Sasaki Hiroshi.
According to information shared by the embassy, automobiles made up roughly 50% of Japan’s total exports to Turkmenistan in 2024. Officials noted that Toyota vehicles are proportionally even more widespread in Turkmenistan than in Japan itself.

Aimed at boosting charging power up to 150 kW in future iterations, this infrastructure solution promise to significantly reduce grid pressure on traditional charging stations, particularly for logistics and commercial fleets.
