The President of Turkmenistan and foreign leaders laid flowers at the Monument of Neutrality
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Presidents of Turkey and Iran Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Masoud Pezeşkian, as well as the leaders of Central Asian states Kassym-Jomart Tokayev (Kazakhstan), Sadyr Japarov (Kyrgyzstan), Shavkat Mirziyoyev (Uzbekistan), and Emomali Rahmon (Tajikistan), and other heads of state and government, participated in a flower-laying ceremony at the Neutrality Monument. The event is timed to coincide with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
The ceremony is taking place in Ashgabat as part of official events marking the anniversary. In addition to the heads of state and government, representatives of the Turkmen government, members of the diplomatic corps, members of the Mejlis, members of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), and representatives of public organizations are participating in the flower-laying ceremony.
Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality was recognized by a UN General Assembly resolution on December 12, 1995. In 2017, at the initiative of Ashgabat, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming December 12 as International Day of Neutrality.

A Spanish delegation led by Ambassador to Moscow Ricardo Martinez held talks with the Minister of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in environmental matters.
During the meeting, the ambassador congratulated the Turkmen side on the International Day of Neutrality and thanked them for the warm welcome. The discussions were later reported on the official website of Turkmenistan’s environmental authority.
The agenda included cooperation in environmental protection, joint efforts to combat desertification, and measures to address plastic waste pollution. Special emphasis was placed on Turkmenistan’s presidential initiative announced at the UN General Assembly, proposing the establishment of a regional desertification prevention center for Central Asian countries, along with potential areas of collaboration.
