The Number of Robot Workers Surpasses Human Staff at a Prominent Tech Startup
23 Jun. 05:19The CEO of the tech startup "Figure AI," Brett Adcock, announced via his social media platform that the number of humanoid robots deployed at the company has officially outgrown its human workforce. According to the executive, the integration pace of robotic personnel into production environments has significantly outstripped human recruitment trends.
Looking back at the data, the facility operated with just over one hundred robots last year, whereas the automated fleet has now expanded to approximately seven hundred and forty active units. In comparison, the human workforce currently stands at around six hundred and sixty employees, which also marks an increase from the previous baseline.
The chief executive accompanied the report with newly released photographs of the humanoids that are fully prepared for operational deployment. Previous tests demonstrated that these next-generation automated units are capable of managing sorting operations autonomously over long stretches without any human supervision or downtime.

On-the-Go Power: Japanese Engineers Develop Wireless In-Road Charging for Electric Vehicles
10 Oct. 08:10In a major leap for electric mobility, Honda R&D, alongside Taisei Corporation and Taisei Rotec, has unveiled an innovative dynamic wireless charging system that charges electric vehicles as they drive. By embedding compact energy-transmitting modules directly into the road surface, the system transfers power via a magnetic field to receivers mounted underneath moving vehicles. Designed to withstand heavy commercial transport up to 20 tons, real-world road testing is scheduled to begin in Japan in April 2027.
The technology eliminates the need for full road reconstruction, as modules can be integrated directly into milled asphalt layers. Aimed at boosting charging power up to 150 kW in future iterations, this infrastructure solution promise to significantly reduce grid pressure on traditional charging stations, particularly for logistics and commercial fleets.
